Located in the heart of the College of Agriculture’s campus, the state of the art Plant Biotechnology Building is one of the most advanced facilities of its’ kind. The five level research and teaching facility includes standard and elevated classrooms, lecture halls, an auditorium, and laboratories specializing in such areas as plant growth and preparation, forest and plant physiology and genetics, entomology, micro and molecular biology to name a few.

The 143,375 square foot highly complex structure and systems within were completed in a staged completion of just less than two years. The final completion date of August 26, 2003 was the original contract completion date, to the day, and was achieved with an increase of roughly 10% in work scope.
