The project site required in excess of 350,000 cubic yards of earthwork plus rock excavation on an extremely wet and difficult site to drain and dewater. The pre-engineered metal building structures contain 22,760 square feet at the administration/auction building, 10,000 square feet at the recondition building, and 1,250 square feet at the car wash. Interior space included large automobile auction lanes, offices, a kitchen, restaurant, body and paint shops.
Construction consisted of concrete foundations and slabs, pre-engineered steel framing, standing seam metal roofs, split face block and EIFS exteriors in the administration wing, and metal wall panels. Special construction included intricate vaulted ceilings in the lobby, highly detailed ceramic tile floors and epoxy coatings in the auction bays. Additional features were guard buildings, check-in buildings and large drive-thru canopies.
