Austin-East High School
Awarded in May of 1996, the Austin-East Magnet High School project consisted of major renovations to the existing 144,000 square foot building and additional construction of 111,000 square feet of new space. Renovations were done to the original structure as well as selective demolition, relocation of the baseball field and parking lot extension. We also constructed new classrooms, offices, dance studios and music rehearsal spaces. The highlight of the new construction is the recital hall. Capable of seating 400 students, the contemporary design features a large stage for performances in addition to modern acoustical treatments.
