Boyd's Bear Country
This project is Boyd's Collection's second retail facility. For this project, Rouse Construction served as the general trades contractor and project coordinator for the construction manager, Kinsley Construction Company. The five-story facility contains 100,000 square feet of retail sales areas along with a dining and restaurant area. The building is structural steel framing with concrete slabs on metal decking and metal stud walls with plywood sheathing. The preformed metal roof and wall panels were designed to give it a distinctive "barn" appearance. Special interior features include an extensive heavy timber truss and framing system, rustic barn siding and trim, a massive masonry and stone fireplace with gas logs, four elevators and eight escalators.
