John W. Rouse founded Rouse Construction Company in 1937. Henry Rouse assumed
management in 1952 and formed Rouse Construction International in 1970. The present day
Rouse Construction Company was chartered in Tennessee in 1977 as a wholly owned
subsidiary of Rouse Construction International.
After having held executive positions with the John W. Rouse Construction Corporation
dating back to 1954, Antonio Perfetto, the current Chief Executive Officer of Rouse
Construction Company, served as president of Rouse Construction International, Inc. from
1977 until 1993.
Other current officers are: David Donohue, President, and Ronald Perfetto, Chief Operating
Officer.
The officers purchased controlling interest from Rouse Construction International in 1992
and continue current ownership and management of the business.
In 2007, we were proud to celebrate our 30th anniversary in Knoxville. The management
team at Rouse Construction Company is also proud to offer 55 years of individual design and
construction experience as well as a corporate work history of 70 years.
Rouse Construction is an open shop contracting firm with capabilities in all construction
phases, including offering the owner single source responsibility through design/build
services and construction management. Our widely varied commercial and industrial
experience includes construction of office buildings, hospitals, education facilities,
restaurants, churches, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and community centers.
Design Build Projects
Design Build allows the owner's program staff to work directly and closely on a continuing
basis with the Rouse Construction team. Ideas and construction economies are fully
considered from inception to project completion. The ability to begin construction before
plans are complete and to divide the project into "phases" produces both time and cost
savings which can be passed along to the owner. Utilization of the design build or fast track
process can result in total project time savings approaching 30%. Project costing will be
available earlier and will allow time for any necessary changes.
Industrial Maintenance
With our experienced and knowledgeable construction crews, we are skilled at handling any
size maintenance project. Having completed additions/renovations to existing hospitals,
educational facilities, factories, etc., we understand how to complete projects which result in
less disruption and little or no down-time in facility operations.
