Grainger County Justice Center
New Justice Center for Grainger County containing 25,250 square feet of detention occupancy and 17,548 square feet of county business occupancy. Detention facilities include an intake center, a 22-bed medium/maximum female housing unit, a 38-bed medium/maximum male housing unit, a 40-bed male dormitory unit, a commercial laundry, and a commercial kitchen. Justice business occupancy includes courtrooms, offices for the Attorney General, Public Defender, Juvenile, Probation, and Parole Officers. The project is constructed with load bearing concrete masonry walls, steel columns and trusses with exterior brick veneer and split face concrete masonry units. The building is fully sprinkled (wet system) and has EPDM and standing seam metal roofing. Site utilities and rough grading were not included in Rouse Construction's contract.
